What to expect

Your visit, in three parts.

  1. 01

    Talk it through

Discuss your preferred finish, preparation and rinse window. Ask any suitability questions before application begins.

  2. 02

    Time in the studio

Change privately and follow the therapist's position guidance during application. You can ask to pause at any point.

  3. 03

    Take your plan home

Get the rinse time and care instructions for your chosen solution, then change into loose clothing for the journey.

Before you arrive

A little preparation helps.

  • Gently exfoliate the day before, following your appointment guidance.
  • Ask in advance about shaving, waxing, sensitivities or any concern about suitability.
  • Arrive with clean, dry skin on the areas being sprayed.
  • Bring loose, dark clothes and easy shoes for afterwards.
  • Allow time for your rinse plan rather than fitting a tan immediately before an event.

These are general pointers. Your appointment instructions take priority.

After your appointment

Keep your care plan close.

  • Wait until the rinse time you were given; do not guess from another product's instructions.
  • Until then, follow the studio guidance about water, exercise and skin products.
  • After rinsing, pat dry and use the care routine explained at your visit.
  • Expect development and wear to vary. Avoid harsh scrubbing if you want a gentler fade.
  • A spray tan is cosmetic colour. It provides no sun protection.

Before your visit

Your tanning questions, answered.

A few practical things to know before you choose your appointment.

Read the preparation guide
How should I prepare for a spray tan?

Follow the preparation instructions given for your appointment. As a general starting point, exfoliate gently the day before and arrive with clean, dry skin, without moisturiser, deodorant or make-up on the areas being sprayed. Ask us about your usual hair-removal routine before your visit.

What clothes should I bring?

Choose loose, dark clothing and easy shoes for the journey home. Bring the underwear you prefer to wear during application; the studio includes a private changing area.

When should I rinse?

Your therapist will give a rinse time for the solution used. An express rinse does not mean the colour has finished developing. Follow the written instructions rather than choosing a time from a general guide.

Can you promise a particular shade?

We discuss the finish you would like, but skin, preparation and aftercare all affect how a tan develops. A trial before a special occasion gives you a chance to see how the chosen approach wears on your skin.

What if I have a sensitivity or other concern?

Contact the studio before arranging treatment to discuss suitability and any product information you need. Do not use this demo form for medical information. If you have a health concern, ask an appropriate healthcare professional.

Does a spray tan protect me from the sun?

A cosmetic spray tan does not provide sun protection. Continue to follow sun-protection advice and use an appropriate sunscreen.
